Sri Govardhan Mayuram hails from Tirupati and has mastered Krishna Yajur Veda. He had formal training in Vedas for 6 years at Bangalore and for 4 years in Tiruchanoor, different Veda patasalas. He also has passed Sanskrit up to Kavya examination and has received certificate (Poojarhata Patram ) from Pancharatra Agama Patasala. Having been brought up in a priest family, he is very well versed with temple rituals and learnt Alankara skills from his father and grandfather. He worked as a priest at his family temple Sri Pattabhirama temple, Chandragiri , Chitoor district for 4 years and more recently at Sri Srinivasa Temple, Mahalakshmi Layout Bangalore for last 3 years. He speaks Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil fluently and is learning to speak English.
