A team of volunteers have been looking at various ways to reduce our energy usage as well as implement renewable energy alternatives. Many of the easier elements of this program have already been implemented and is resulting in significant savings.

Why consider renewable energy (resources)?

Reason Number 1: It is time that we rethink how we use our natural resources and leave a better world for our children. With our nation constituting  about 5% of the world population, cannot continue to use 64% of the world energy resources. It is an unsustainable model.

Reason Number 2: Both Sun, Wind and Rain falls over everyone’s place of living, work and worship. The old model of large scale commercial development at much higher costs, with high peak demands, high transmission losses, with no redundancies is over. Or it will be soon over.

Reason Number 3: As T.Boone Pickens (the oil man billionaire from Texas) said in his TV commercials – we cannot transfer about $ 700 billions of this nations wealth to foreign oil producers every year. And that too with borrowed money from China.
